Crocheted covered jars are a cheap but lovely gift idea because they are easy to make, inexpensive and best of all they are in vogue.
After looking at a few patterns and pictures of crocheted covered jars, I simply designed my own patterns. I used a fine cotton thread with a 2.2 crochet hook for my first jars but it seemed to take forever to finish. So, I doubled the thread, used a 3.5 hook and finished a whole set of 5 jars

So, I doubled the thread, used a 3.5 hook and finished a whole set of 5 jars in one day at the family cottage while sitting by the water watching a grandson… well into the evening as well but they crocheted quickly.
They look classy and best of all my adult girls love them.
